During the winter school holidays children visiting Tiny Shops got their hands dirty making pine cone bird feeders, to hang from the bare branched trees.
Over these cold months there is less food around in our city and gardens for birds to eat.
We also talked more about birds in general – what makes them special, which birds live in New Zealand and which are our favourites!
