During Alert Level 4 and some of Alert Level 3 of lockdown, Tiny Shops Village organised a contactless home delivery service for vulnerable households in our community.
For each of the eight weeks a “lucky-dip box” of fresh and packaged foods was delivered to up to 20 households.
Feedback from the recipients made it clear that the deliveries, as well as filling bellies, helped improve people’s mental health during the Lockdown.
Thanks as always must go to Foodbank Canterbury for their on-going, tremendous work in sourcing, collecting, sorting and redistributing food waste in Christchurch.
